project planning and development guideline
At
Avtec Media, our goal is to help you understand web technology in the most simple
and straightforward way possible.
To
facilitate this goal, we have a defined development process that guarantees
projects will run smoothly and successfully. Please familiarize yourself with
the process so you can fully understand everything that goes into creating a
website. This guideline will also help you learn what to expect and what to provide
regarding your required contribution to the project.
Avtec Media has developed the following schedule to develop your website. Dates will be inserted where relevant upon deciding a mutually agreeable development timeline.
PHASE 1 - PLANNING
1. Client signs and returns our Contract Agreement.
2. We send Client Website Planning Worksheet and schedule a phone interview that covers all aspects of design, programming, marketing, and usability expectations.
3. Client sends 25% deposit check.
4. We receive Client’s completed Website Planning Worksheet.
5. We send Client a list of website page content to deliver (logo, text, photos, graphics, etc.).
6. Client sends all necessary content required to develop website
7. Timeline for development is scheduled and presented to Client.
PHASE 2 - DESIGN REVIEW
8. Initial Design Concept(s) are presented online in a private location for client review and approval.
9. Client reviews initial design and submits request and suggestions for design changes (if any).
PHASE 3 - DESIGN MODIFICATION [STAGE 1]
10. If client requests changes, first round of design modification commences.
11. First round of design modifications are completed.
PHASE 4 - DESIGN MODIFICATION [STAGE 2]
12. Client reviews and approves latest changes and/or submits request for second round of modifications.
13. Second round of design modifications are completed.
PHASE 5 - DESIGN MODIFICATION [STAGE 3]
14. Client reviews and approves latest changes and/or submits request for third round of modifications.
15. Third round of design modifications are completed.
PHASE 6 - DESIGN APROVAL
16. Client reviews and provides final approval for design concept.
PHASE 7 – CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
17. Content development phase begins.
18. Completed content pages are submitted for Client's approval
19. Review and revision stage commences
20. Developer makes any final content edits/changes requested by client.
PHASE 8 – PROJECT APPROVAL
21. Client reviews, approves and signs off on completed website project.
PHASE 9 – TESTING & QUALITY ASSURANCE
22. Testing stage commences (browser compatibility, display, copywriting, link analysis, applications, load time, etc.)
23. If necessary, final modifications are made to assure quality.
PHASE 9 – WEBSITE LAUNCH
24. Website is uploaded to Client’s web server; live website is launched to the Internet.
25. We send Client connection key for using Content Management software (if applicable)
26. One hour phone training session is scheduled with Client for using Content Management software (if applicable)
27. Website is registered and submitted to Internet search engines
